Sarah Noonan
Westside Family Healthcare
Since August 2006, Sarah has served as Deputy Director of Westside Family Healthcare with chief responsibilities in the areas of marketing, communications, fund development and advocacy. Sarah has championed the efforts of the Advocacy Committee of the Board of Directors to include staff and patient participation on important local and national issues that affect health centers and their patients. Her excellent relationships with Delaware’s Congressional delegates and staff have inspired their interest and participation in events such as National Health Center Week. A case in point is the recent health center week event hosted by the Partnership for Prescription Assistance under the direction of Ms. Noonan. Westside was honored for its work in the community by U.S. Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE), U.S. Senator Tom Carper, and NACHC representative Susan Walter. A tribute to National Health Center Week was presented on behalf of New Castle County Executive Chris Coons. Local newspapers turned up in force to cover the event.
Even as a student at the University of Delaware (where she earned a Masters in Public Administration specializing in Health Care Policy and a Bachelors in Political Science) Noonan was a political natural. She was selected as Legislative Fellow to the Delaware General Assembly providing non-partisan research to members of the Delaware Senate. Health centers are lucky to have Sarah Noonan on their team!
