The National Association of Community Health Centers' (NACHC) Community Health Institute (CHI) and Expo is the largest and most important annual conference of Community Health Center professionals.  Timing for this national gathering could not come at a more critical time.  America is calling on health centers to lead the way in defining the future of primary care with passage of the landmark health reform law.   As the health care landscape is transformed, health center leaders are charged with the responsibility to lead and show the way forward.

NACHC is working diligently to provide CHI attendees with the tools necessary to succeed in this unprecedented and challenging period of growth and opportunity.  The 2010 CHI, held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, will offer participants many new educational sessions tied to health reform.  Participants will hear the latest developments on  workforce issues, succession planning, staff retention and recruitment, and  negotiating the new consumer marketplace as implementation unfolds.  This year’s conference will  also include a special GALA event celebrating Health Care Reform and the 35th anniversary of NACHC President and CEO, Tom Van Coverden.

Join us as we celebrate a year of great achievements!  This event will include an exciting evening of dinner and entertainment as we celebrate Health Care Reform and the 35th anniversary of NACHC President and CEO, Tom Van Coverden. Share in a champagne toast as we honor our collective achievement in advancing health care reform and pay tribute to Tom Van Coverden for his impassioned commitment and dedicated advocacy to the Community Health Center Movement. 

 
As part of the celebration, The Water Coolers, a New York based comedy group, will also deliver some of their "laugh-out-loud" music and comedy.  Their act includes original song, sketch comedy, and pop parody about the daily challenges of the workplace and modern life. Entertainment will continue as we dance the night away with great music and enjoy the opportunity to celebrate and connect with colleagues. Dress is black tie optional

Housing Policies:
In an effort to be sure that the headquarters hotel is able to accept the maximum number of reservations, NACHC has implemented the following housing policies:
• Each reservation must have a unique name. No person may book more than one room in their name.
• A deposit of one nights room and tax will be taken at the time of booking in order to guarantee your reservation.
• Should you need to cancel, cancellations must be made 30 days in advance in order to be refunded your deposit. Cancellations within 30 days prior to your arrival date, deposits are non refundable unless the hotel is able to resell your cancelled room.
 
 
Continuing Education:
NACHC’s Community Health Institute (CHI) supplies over 90 hours of top-quality education workshops including a possible total of 12.6 CPE credits and 10.5 CME and CE credits.
