HHS Announces New Access Point Grants for Community Health Centers

Today Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced new grant awards to 219 health centers that are looking to expand access to health care for more than 1.25 million new patients.

The new grants which come from the Affordable Care Act will also create more than 5,000 new jobs for doctors, nurses and other supporting staff to support the new health center service delivery sites.
