Diana Olsen

Marketing and Community Relations Manager for Community Health Centers of King County (CHCKC) in Seattle

The first 2008 Congratulations goes to our January National Community Health Advocate of the Month – Diana Olsen, Marketing and Community Relations Manager for Community Health Centers of King County (CHCKC) in Seattle, Washington. Diana joined the CHCKC team nearly four years ago and quickly made grassroots advocacy a top priority in her role at the health center. Working diligently to grow and strengthen participation in state and federal advocacy efforts, in recently months Diana helped to register over 100 new health center advocates by thinking innovatively and including advocate registration forms in staff packets at the CHCKC annual meeting. Taking her advocacy leaps forward, Diana also took the lead in coordinating multiple health center events with key elected officials like, Congressman Reichert, U.S. Senator Murray and Washington Governor Christine Gregoire, to encourage support for critical health center policy! Now just days into 2008 Diana has already laid the groundwork to begin intensive work on voter registration initiatives at each of the CHCKC sites and maintains advocacy as a top priority in her daily work. A true grassroots advocacy inspiration, please join us in congratulating our January National Community Health Advocate of the Month – Diana Olsen.
