Human Resources Webinar Series
June 4 through June 25, 2013

The work of Human Resources staff is essential to assure effective workforce strategies. The HR webinar series is targeted to staff working at health centers and primary care associations (PCAs).  Our goal is that health center and PCA staff hear about potential actions they can take to strengthen the workforce at their own organization, which ultimately strengthens the services provided to medically underserved people served by community health centers.

In each webinar of the series, “experts” on a particular topic and with health centers share their experiences, lessons learned, and recommendations.  Some may recommend useful tools or additional resources. All will address your questions as much as possible.

For each topic in the series, participants of the webinar will be able to:

  • Explain how the topic adds value to their organization.
  • Describe several actions they could take to address the topic.
  • Identify new competencies needed by their staff.

Target Audience: This webinar program is targeting staff at health centers and primary care associations with responsibilities for human resources management.

Many organizations and corporations are increasingly using social media to recruit workers and sell their “brand” and mission to a wider audience. Whether it is Linked In, Facebook or Twitter, social media can be a useful tool in workforce recruitment, allowing a wider reach into a generation of educated and savvy users who are looking for the right professional opportunity.

This webinar will provide insights to health centers and SRPCAs into the many ways social media can be used for internal and external communications with an eye toward workforce recruitment.  Hear about best practices and resources for developing an effective social media policy and see how social media can be used to “sell the mission” for executive recruitment.
